Studio log

What shipped, month by month.

Most studios publish case studies once a year. We publish the log instead — every launch, every change to how we work, and an honest note on what we are booking.

Halcyon 2.0 is live

Ten weeks with the Halcyon team, rebuilding the scheduling product around a single planning surface instead of four disconnected screens. Activation in the first quarter is up 38%.

  • One planning canvas replaced the calendar, list, board, and timeline views
  • Onboarding cut from eleven steps to four
  • Handover complete — Halcyon's two engineers now own the repository

We are booking from March

Two engagements at a time is still the rule, so the calendar has moved out. If you are planning something for spring, this is the month to talk.

  • Two Build slots open in March and April
  • Strategy sprints can usually start within three weeks
  • Partner seats are full until June

Ledgerly's brand, end to end

A four-week identity for a bookkeeping tool that had outgrown its first logo by about three years. Mark, type, colour, voice, and the templates their team uses weekly.

  • New wordmark and mark, drawn from scratch
  • A colour system that survives dark mode and print
  • Nine templates covering everything they actually make

Adaeze joins as brand designer

We have wanted a dedicated brand practice for two years and were waiting for the right person rather than the available one. Adaeze came from an editorial studio in Lagos.

  • Brand engagements now run without a freelance bench
  • Identity work available as a standalone four-week block
  • The studio is nine people, which is where it stays

Orbit Freight, six weeks flat

A quoting tool for a freight brokerage that had been running on a spreadsheet with 41 tabs. Kickoff to production in six weeks, exactly as quoted.

  • Quote turnaround down from two hours to four minutes
  • The spreadsheet is archived, not migrated — the scope said so
  • Built on infrastructure their one engineer can operate

We stopped writing specifications

After a year of quietly not reading our own documents, we replaced the spec with a one-page scope and a deployed URL every Friday. Projects got shorter.

  • Scope documents capped at one page, permanently
  • Friday deploys from week two of every engagement
  • Average project length down by nine days

There is room in the log for what you are building.

Two engagements at a time means the calendar is real. If you want a slot this spring, the conversation should start now.

Booking new work from March 2026.
